Holy Week missions are a way to live close to Christ, serving others, in some of the most sacred days of the liturgical year. Thousands of young people around the world live Holy Week in this way, and we would love for you to share this experience.
What are the two options to participate in the high school youth track of missions?
- Option 1: You can register for just Holy Thursday, just Good Friday, or both! The day time missions offer special opportunities to serve others and share your faith. Arrive in the morning, depart in the evening.
- Option 2: Option to spend overnight with other missionaries at Holy Cross from Holy Thursday- Holy Saturday. Experience the day time missions as well as an overnight retreat experience!

8:30am-9:30pm on Good Friday
Holy Thursday: Arrival at St Benedict's, missionary training & preparation, door to door missions, Holy Hour & Mass of the Last Supper at St. Benedict’s, then dinner & night prayers
Good Friday: Morning prayers & missionary preparation, Good Friday Crosswalk from St. Benedict's to Covington Cathedral, Good Friday Liturgy, Stations of the Cross, and dinner back at St Benedict's & night prayers
Holy Saturday: Morning prayers & missionary preparation, Easter Festival for kids at the Rose Garden Mission, then closing testimonies back at St. Benedict's
The overnight option will include additional small group moments and prayer experiences for living your Holy Week more deeply.
Registrants will receive a missionary sweatshirt and t-shirt with registration. Wear these with jeans and tennis shoes (we will do a lot of walking!)
Suggested items for day missions: water bottle, small backpack, snacks
Additional for overnight option: sleeping bag, mat or air mattress, pillow, toiletries, pajamas, extra pair of shoes
Yes! They are welcome for joining:
6pm Holy Hour and 7pm Holy Thursday Mass at St. Benedict
9am-3pm Good Friday Cross Walk (Pack a lunch)
3pm Good Friday Service at the Covington Cathedral
Lunch and dinner are included for the day time mission option
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is included for the overnight mission option
Yes! We will be walking for most of the mission so wear comfortable shoes!
